Bridgette Costa is an emerging multidisciplinary & new media artist from Portland, OR and MFA candidate at WSU. In her work she takes a playful approach to concepts of folklore, mysticism, and esoteric knowledge. She sees both body and environment as sites to explore the connections between humans, nature, and curious invisible realms. Previous works utilize video, performance, sculpture and social practice as meditations for collective and personal experience. She is currently experimenting with computer programming and interactive installation to create user experiences that engages both physical and immaterial worlds. The use of bright colors and magical creatures is a charming reflection of the artist herself. She easily inspired and overtly optimistic.
